Summer 2014 Restaurants Announced

Pittsburgh, PA, June 1, 2014: Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is pleased to announce that the region will celebrate Pittsburgh Restaurant Week – Summer 2014 from August 11-17. The celebration will focus on highlighting Pittsburgh food and restaurants through fine dining, fresh harvests, and outdoor seating as restaurants offer either three-course fixed-price meals or $20.14 specials.

Restaurants registered to participate include Altius, Arpino Trattoria, Bistro 19, Bocktown Beer and Grill, Butcher and the Rye, CIBO, Cioppino, City Oven, Cornerstone Restaurant & Bar, Del’s Restaurant, Franktuary, Grand Concourse, Green Forest Brazilian Restaurant, Habitat Restaurant, Industry Public House, James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy, Kaleidoscope Cafe, La Palapa Mexican Gourmet Kitchen, ,Lidia’s Italy Pittsburgh, Lola Bistro, Mallorca Restaurant, Matteo’s, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood and Steak (2 locations), Meat & Potatoes, Morton’s Steakhouse, Nine on Nine, Osteria 2350, Paris 66, Patrick’s Pub and Grille, Pino’s Contemporary Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, River City Grille, Root174, Savory Hill, SAVOY, Tamari Restaurant Lawrenceville, Tender Bar + Kitchen, Terrace Room, Texas de Brazil, The Capital Grille, The Carlton, The Pittsburgh Melting Pot, The Wooden Nickel Restaurant, Union Pig & Chicken and Verde Mexican Kitchen & Cantina.

The participating restaurants take you along a journey through the melting pot of cuisines available in the Pittsburgh area. Whether today’s diners are seeking authentic and unique meals or wanting to support the nationally recognized chefs, guests will feel adventure on a trip around the world without leaving the comfort of Pittsburgh.

In the sixth restaurant week celebration under the direction of Brian McCollum, the next installment of Pittsburgh Restaurant Week will again host a series of special events along with the dining week – a public Kickoff Party prior to the week at the National Aviary, a special food blogger invitational dinner during restaurant week and a private Wrap Party with participating restaurants owners/chefs.

Restaurants interested in participating in the summer 2014 celebration can take advantage of easy, online registration through the event website until July 31st, 2014 for $150 as well as a new opportunity to become a sponsor. Restaurants are encouraged to take this opportunity to reinforce their bonds with the community and celebrate the burgeoning food culture in Pittsburgh.
