PRW-S14-DatesBelowPittsburgh, PA, March 20, 2014: On this first day of spring, Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is pleased to announce that from August 11-17 the region will celebrate Pittsburgh Restaurant Week – Summer 2014. In addition to promoting area restaurants through fine dining, fresh harvest and outdoor seating, the event will also celebrate the presence of world-class dining options at a price only Pittsburgh can provide. Patrons can expect to dine at participating restaurants across the area and choose from discounted three-course fixed-price meals or $20.14 specials.

The world-class theme reflects the city’s culinary emergence into the national spotlight in industry leading publications such as Bon Appétit Magazine, Food and Wine Magazine, and USA Today. This summer, restaurant week will celebrate how Pittsburgh restaurants have conquered making world-class meals affordable.

In the sixth restaurant week celebration under the direction of Brian McCollum, the next installment of Pittsburgh Restaurant Week will also bring focus to the melting pot of cuisines Pittsburgh has to offer stemming from its rich and diverse heritage. “Making your way through Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods can be like taking a trip around the world,” said McCollum.

Restaurants interested in participating in the summer 2014 celebration can take advantage of easy, online registration through the event website at a cost of $150. Restaurants are encouraged to take this opportunity to reinforce their bonds with the community and celebrate the growing food culture in Pittsburgh.
