Pittsburgh is the next big food city

bonappetitAs The Foodist Predicts the Next Big Ingredients in 2014″ in Bon Appetit Magazine, Pittsburgh is named as being the next big food city of the United States.

“Like Houston, Charleston, and Nashville before it, Pittsburgh is elbowing its way onto the culinary map.”

No surprise to us!  While Pittsburgh Restaurant Week isn’t big on throwing elbows – or eating with them on the table – we’re happy to embrace the national recognition and promote that four of the restaurants named in the article are participating in Pittsburgh Restaurant Week Winter 2014

While restaurants Bar MarcoFukudaMeat & Potatoes and notion were named in the article, Pittsburgh has an army of great restaurants and chefs worthy of the national acclaim.

Starting Monday earn yourself some acclaim and a great PRW restaurant by snapping a photo of your PRW special dishes and uploading them tovote.pittsburghrestaurantweek.com or vote.pghrw.co.  You, the photographer, can win the #BESTPHOTO award and the restaurant receive the #MOSTPHOTOGENIC award for their picturesque dish.

Until then, cast your vote for the #MOSTMOUTHWATERING award category and give acclaim to a restaurant who excites your taste buds with their restaurant week special menu.
